A collection with a story

Kitsch Royale was designed by Eef Ouwehand. She drew inspiration from vintage circus posters and travelling performers. The result: vibrant colours, charismatic characters and playful kitsch details.

Each item tells its own story, with a retro wink. Exactly what Kitsch Kitchen has stood for for more than 30 years: colour, humour and individuality.

Meet the main characters

Kitsch Royale has a regular cast of circus characters that appear throughout the collection. This makes the products visibly belong together, so every combination tells the same story.

Madame Lola also takes the stage, for example on a cushion, the Madame Lola vase in blue and the Madame Lola affirmation cards.

Why Kitsch Royale works in your store

  • One theme, many categories. Home accessories, stationery and games in one recognisable style. That makes cross-selling easy: anyone buying a vase sees the matching notebook or game right next to it.
  • Mix & match. Customers can go all-in on their own circus world or choose a single cheerful accent. That way you appeal to both the collector and the impulse buyer.
  • Strong gift potential. Looking for gifts that sell well? Games, affirmation cards and notebooks are easy, affordable gifts. Vases, cushions and photo frames make lovely larger gifts.

Put Kitsch Royale in the spotlight

  • Build a circus ring. Group the collection on one table or in one wall section, so the circus theme is visible at a glance.
  • Work in layers. Place vases and candle holders up high, cushions and photo frames at eye level, and games and cards within reach at the checkout.
  • Combine categories. Place a notebook next to a photo frame, or a game next to a cushion. This shows how well the items go together.
  • Create a gift corner. Bundle affirmation cards, memory games and notebooks as quick gifts for the holiday season.
  • Tell the story. A small sign about the fictional vintage circus sparks curiosity.

Tip: group products featuring the same character, for example the Monsieur Gaston candle holders next to the memory game. That way customers discover there is more to collect.
